Be grateful
Aug. 28 marked 27 years since my beloved father, Raul Harold Vigil, Sr., went to be with Our Heavenly Father. My father was 65 years old when he died of brain cancer. Mother Mary Louise from the Carmelite Monastery told me when my father was dying, “We are all on a journey. And when our journey is done, God takes us home not a moment too soon.” My father left a beautiful loving legacy as he touched many hearts and souls while he was on his journey serving God.
Many people come up to me and tell me what a blessing my father was in their families’ lives by being kind, understanding, caring, loving and helping. We must love one another, help one another and forgive one another. We must have an attitude of gratitude each day as every day is truly a gift. We must not take anything for granted. God bless you all.
